In 2014, the new real estate challenges and the diversity of the type of real estate belonging to the Montepio Group companies led to the creation of a new organisation, in the form of a Complementary Grouping of Companies (ACE), called Montepio Gestão de Activos Imobiliários (MGAI). The mission of this Complementary Grouping of Companies is to ensure the integrated management of the real estate asset portfolio of the Montepio Group companies, in line with the strategy and objectives of each Participant, aiming at greater efficiency and profitability of the properties, through the centralisation of the operational management of the activities necessary for their conservation, maintenance, transformation and marketing.
